A Massive thankyou to everybody who attended our Solstice Charity Event! Over 100 people attended and we raised £600 for our Peruvian charity. We have The Indian Puppet show – Black Cat Theatre coming to the centre on Saturday 10th July at 3pm – The children were absolutely mesmorised at the solstice event, a magical show with Puppets such as a snake charmer, acrobat and juggler dance as they performed their tricks with brightly costumed camels and horses….. More to come for  this next event…
 
Tickets to be bought in advance from The Happiness Centre
£5 each / £12 family (max 2 adults & 2 children)
do call and book tickets for this event, not just for children, adults will enjoy as well!
 
Devika the Indian dancer will be bringing some dancing workshops and lessons to the centre in September,  It was great watching the audience at the charity event (adults & children!) join in with some indian dancing.  call if you’re interested in attending a class or workshop towards the end of the year and taking some of those dance moves a step further…..
 
and finally a couple of upcoming workshops we have at the centre:
 
Healing Sound workshop – Saturday 3rd July 10am-4pm
 
Using the didgeridoo, gongs, voice, tuning forks tuned to DNA enhancing frequencies and the more traditional singing bowls and finger cymbals (Tingsha)
Sound – as vibration- acts directly on our bodies, especially our glands and nervous systems. Science is now taking seriously how these vibrations can be used to treat our bodies

Come and join us for this free event in Ilkley….

Dr Iqbal will be joining us at The Happiness Centre in Ilkley after the normal guided meditation. He plans to give a talk about the spiritual aspects of Islam and then open it up to an informal discussion with the group, with himself and his companions answering any questions that may come up. It will be a very relaxed, informal and easygoing talk and Dr Iqbal has stressed that no subject is off limits. Devika who is performing in our lantern charity event in Ilkley…

Bringing Indian Classical dance and folk theatre to life in Yorkshire, Devika Rao is a rising star who has worked tirelessly to bring Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi and Yakshagana through her many performances, school and adult workshops, teaching and choreography.
 
Having formally trained in Karnataka under internationally renowned performance artists, such as Professor C V Chandrashekar, Vyjayanthi Kashi and Chandrashekar Navada, Devika dedicates her time and love of dance to working as a freelance artist with renowned organisations delivering a wide range of projects throughout the UK.
 
Recently Devika has been involved in a number projects including the exciting new work The Story Retold, telling the story of Diwali through voice and dance and the contemporary dance spectacle touring the nation – Initium. Devika also commits to teaching weekly classes for dance enthusiasts in Yorkshire of all ages encouraging their development, performance experience and exposure to both traditional and contemporary forms of Indian classical dance. 
 
Devika will be performing at the Summer Solstice Lantern Charity event on Monday 21st June 7.30pm.

This is the charity the Happiness Centre is already invoved in raising money for the disadvantaged the children in Peru and we are now appealling for people to join the sponsor a child scheme for the children in Nepal. Light Work

Many people have heard the term LightWorkers. One of the interesting things that I have discovered since joining the team at the Happiness Centre is how many LightWorkers are using the centre as a nursery.

LightWorkers are souls who have finished with this level of existence and yet have agreed to return one more time for no other reason than to help the planet in its transformation. They have no karma to complete, no lessons to learn. They have one prime imperative- to assist in the shift of consciousness that is taking place. This doesn’t mean that their lives are any less challenging than anyone elses, because ‘stuff’ attacks us as soon as we enter this level of existence. It just means that none of that stuff is necessary stuff.

Many Lightworkers have been like Sleeper agents their whole lives, totally living an ordinary life with no spiritual interests. Then suddenly something catapults them into a new awareness. For many of the people I have met at the HC it’s illnesses such as MS and chronic fatigue- the illnesses that seem to have no cause and no cure, that the medical fraternity is still suspicious of.

So what does an awakening Lightworker do? Are they meant to change their life completely and become teachers or healers? Not necessarily. It’s much more likely that they will stay in the lives they have made for themselves, possibly changing the parts that don’t sit well with the ‘new them’, but on the whole, continuing to live a normal life.

It is on an energetic level that the change is most clearly seen. Activated Light Workers start to generate more Light energy which in turn affects the energy fields of the people they come into contact with. The most common example of this is the way a really cheerful person makes everyone around them feel cheerful.

Changing the energy on this planet can’t be done by those that are not on the planet. That’s why so many evolved beings are incarnating at this time. It has to be done at this level by those on this level. And one Lightworker boosting their Light energy can counteract hundreds of negative energy-generating people doing destructive activities on the planet.

What do I mean when I say these LightWorkers are using the Happiness Centre as a nursery? What I mean is that when this new awareness starts to come through it’s very fragile and easily squashed by the harsh realities of life. Finding places like the Happiness Centre where the environment supports the growth of this new awareness is similar to babies being cared for in a nursery. It’s hard to do the necessary changes in isolation. You need a supportive environment.

If you are reading this Blog then it’s very likely that you are one of the people who is awakening. To follow your new path you need to pay closer attention to your inner Guidance, through meditation or other processes. It means following that Guidance rather than only paying attention to the stuff that is convenient or boosts your ego. It means letting go of ‘stuff’ that no longer fits the newly awakening you. It doesn’t mean forcing yourself to be Light or cheery . Sometimes ‘stuff’ gets in our way and we need to work through it. It’s not a lesson to learn, for Lightworkers, it’s just ‘stuff’ that gets in the way of what we are really here for, and as such needs to be cleared up and moved on as quickly and effectively as possible.

The Happiness Centre has an amazing array of therapies and processes to help dislodge and move this ‘stuff’ so you can focus on your ‘real work’, bringing Light into the Darkness. So why not have a look at what is on offer at the Centre and let you Inner Guidance direct you where you need to go. And the voice that says you can’t afford to do this work, or haven’t got the time… that’s the ‘stuff’ talking and its what’s going to stop the shift in planetary consciousness.

If you made the commitment to being here this time to do your bit, then maybe it’s time to start doing just that. And stop letting ‘stuff’ get in the way!

I know from personal experience how easy this is to say and how hard it is to do. But by using what the Happiness Centre has to offer all of us, we can get on with it.

Learn the Metamorphic Technique

Maggie Pashley is running a two day Workshop on the Metamorphic Technique in early July. As anyone who has read my Blog on Maggie will know, I am a real convert to this process. What is really great is that it is so simple that you can make real change to people’s lives without seeming to do anything but stroke their feet, hands and head.
If you have a family member who you are concerned about and would like to be able to help them in a more direct way, why not learn to do this technique yourself? By the end of the weekend you will be able to apply the technique to your stressed out kids, depressed partner (or visa versa) or sick granny.
If you’ve ever wondered if you have healing hands, this is your chance to find out. I really recommend this training. Maggie is such a skilled practitioner in so many fields, and an excellent instructor. The weekend should be life-changing!
